A missile-related incident has been reported west of Yemen’s Red Sea port metropolis of Hodeidah, British maritime safety agency Ambrey mentioned on Monday.
Separately, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) company mentioned it had obtained a report of a sound of an explosion within the neighborhood of a vessel 71 nautical miles southwest of Yemen’s port of Saleef.
The vessel and crew had been protected, UKMTO added.
Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis have been attacking ships within the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since November in what they are saying is a marketing campaign of solidarity with Palestinians throughout Israel’s warfare with Hamas in Gaza.
