Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority claimed on Thursday its profits in April were $552 million compared to $476 million in the very same month in 2014.
The canal’s authority claimed 1,814 ships transited in April, up from 1,731 ships in the very same month in 2014.
A large container ship obstructed the river in late March triggering a massive stockpile of vessels waiting on flow in what is the fastest delivery path in between Europe as well as Asia.
