The metal slicing ceremony for the brand new Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), being constructed by Damen for Ta San Shang Marine (TSSM), a three way partnership between Japan’s Mitsui O.S.Okay. Lines and Taiwan’s Ta Tong Marine, happened in Vietnam.
The metal slicing ceremony for the CSOV was held on January 19, 2024 in Ha Long, simply two months after the preliminary contract was signed.
TSSM’s new CSOV will likely be named TSS Cruiser and will likely be delivered by Dutch shipbuilder Damen by late 2025.
TSS Cruiser will likely be chartered to contractors supporting the offshore wind farms close to the coast of Taiwan, throughout each the development and operation phases.
The vessel will likely be geared up with a motion-compensated gangway that ensures secure and speedy transfers to and from the generators and substations and it will likely be extremely sustainable with diesel-battery hybrid energy era programs from the outset and ready for future use of inexperienced methanol gas.
The CSOV 9020 has lodging for as much as 120 personnel and ample house for tools and provides.
