
Maersk Line Names New CFO
The world’s largest container transport firm has named Pierre Danet, present Vice President and regional CFO of Hewlett Packard Printing and Personal Systems, as its new Chief Financial Officer efficient April 7, 2015.
Maersk Line says that Danet will take over the CFO function from present Chief Strategy, Finance and Transformation Officer, Jakob Stausholm. Stausholm will proceed with the corporate within the function of Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, including additional focues and management to the continuing tranformation and enterprise growth of Maersk Line.
Pierre Danet, 44, from France, holds a MBA from ESSEC enterprise faculty in France. Danet has been with HP since August 2011. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Procter & Gamble starting in 1998.
In addition to the CFO function, Danet will probably be a part of Maersk Lines administration board.
Maersk Line is the world’s largest container transport firm with 610 container ships in operation. The firm employs 7,100 seafarers and 25,500 shore-based workers. The firm reported $2.3 billion revenue on $27 billion in revenues in 2014.
