MOL Express Refloated
On Sunday 11 January, the containership MOL Express ran aground in Tateyama Harbor, Chiba Prefecture of Japan because it was maneuvering within the harbor. The vessel was on constitution to Mitsui O.S.K. Lines from an affiliate of Vancouver-based shipowner Seaspan Corp.
Seaspan introduced right now that the vessel has been efficiently re-floated as of 10:55 a.m, 14 January 2015.
“There were no crew injuries and no environmental consequences from this incident,” Seaspan notes in a press release.
