Turkish RoPax Ferry GOKCEADA-1 Refloated
A Turkish ro-pax ferry has been refloated after operating aground Sunday off the west coast of Turkey within the Aegean Sea.
As gCaptain reported, the ferry Gokceada-1 ran aground Sunday night outdoors the harbor breakwater on the island of Gokceada. All 188 passengers had been finally taken off the vessel Monday morning after about 15 hours caught on the grounded ship.
The Turkish Directorate General of Coastal Safety reviews that the vessel was refloated Tuesday afternoon with the assistance of tugs. All 39 autos and eleven crewmembers stay aboard the vessel, the group reported.
No air pollution and no accidents have been reported on account of the incident.
The reason for grounding is underneath investigation.
