Two U.S. RO/RO operators go for Orca AI

U.S. primarily based ship operators, American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier (ARC) and Liberty Maritime Corporation, are to deploy the Orca AI automated situational consciousness platform throughout their RO/RO fleets.

Liberty was one of many early collaborators with Orca AI, deploying the primary Orca AI unit on a U.S.-flag RO/RO vessel, Liberty Pride, in 2019.

The platform, which is put in on Liberty’s RO/RO vessels and on ARC’s entire fleet, acts as a completely computerized watch-keeper, powered by laptop imaginative and prescient and deep studying algorithms that detect, observe and classify navigation-applicable targets which will pose a threat to the vessel.
