German shipowner Windward Offshore has ordered 3D Electric Controlled Motion Compensated (ECMC) cranes from Seaonics for 2 Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) being constructed by Norwegian shipbuilder VARD.
The order marks Seaonics’ first gear supply to Windward Offshore, an organization based by Blue Star Group, Diana Shipping and SeraVerse, in collaboration with and beneath the management of SeaRenergy Group.
The first CSOV is scheduled for supply within the second half of 2025, with the remaining vessel following in 2026.

With the sale of the 2 cranes, the corporate has now offered 10 models of the ECMC crane for the reason that first supply in 2023.
The Seaonics ECMC C25 3D Crane is designed for offshore operations. It includes a totally electrical managed movement compensation system, guaranteeing easy and exact actions even in difficult situations.
The increase management, slew management and telescope management are all electrical pushed and used dynamically to allow 3D compensation of the crane tip.
