Hong Kong headquartered Anglo-Eastern Ship Management has actually finished the effective roll-out of DNV GL’s Navigator Port software application to its fleet of greater than 600 vessels.

Navigator Port is utilized day-to-day onboard numerous thousand ships worldwide for administration of port documents, aiding seafarers in browsing the management and also governing intricacy of port clearance and also flow with managed waters.

“One of the most time-consuming tasks onboard is preparing port documentation,” claimed Captain Pradeep Chawla, Managing Director, QHSE and also Training at Anglo-Eastern “We have brought in Navigator Port to reduce the administrative burden and ensure quality of the reporting. This is especially important on ships where the port of call is not known well in advance.”

“The addition of Navigator Port to our ships is part of our overall digital transformation effort across our fleet,” includedCapt Bjorn Hojgaard, Chief Executive Officer of Anglo-Eastern “We are evolving our shipboard technologies for the future with smart solutions, and DNV GL’s offering complements our vision for a digitally enhanced fleet.”

Navigator Port helps with conformity with needs from charterers and also port authorities. Approximately 1,400 port clearance types are immediately filled out with ship information, so the needed documentation can be prepared in a couple of mins. The system reports straight to maritime authorities, such as the Electronic Notice of Arrival/Departure (eNOAD) to the United States Coast Guard, and also the Electronic Pre-Arrival Notification (ePAN) to the Maritime and also Port Authority of Singapore.

In enhancement, Navigator Port consists of a data source of details regarding all the globe’s ports and also terminals based upon magazines and also information from IHS Markit Ports & & Terminals Guide, Admiralty List of Radio Signals (Volume 6) and also various other resources. In all, claims DNV GL. documentation can be decreased by approximately 90%.

“We’re very pleased about the successful implementation of Navigator Port across the Anglo-Eastern fleet. Navigator Port makes it easier for the crew to report accurately and efficiently, which ultimately means that they can focus on their primary responsibility: safe and sound navigation,” claims Kenneth Vareide, Chief Executive Officer of DNV GL– Digital Solutions.
