APM Terminals Mumbai, the busiest container terminal handling facility in India, handled more than 2 million teu in 2019, the second year in a row it reached this milestone. It remains the only Indian container terminal to date to have achieved this record in a calendar year.
Over the past year the terminal has continued to focus on working in collaboration with customers, including shipping lines, cargo owners, Container Freight Stations (CFS) and transporters, to achieve higher efficiency levels. Initiatives such as the CFS Vehicle Booking System and a new digital Customer Service Portal are said to have boosted customer satisfaction. The terminal says it remains committed to improving the ease of doing business at the port by embracing increased digitization over the coming years.
